A child welfare/drug complaint lands three Glasgow residents in jail.  Sunday afternoon, Glagow Police Officers responded to Bunche Avenue in response to a child welfare/drug complaint.   Upon arrival, Officers were greeted at the door by the resident, 22 year old Benita Coffey.  Coffey invited Officers inside.  Upon entering, Officers observed 22 year old Noel Wade Jennings Jr. place his hand inside his pocket and run into the bathroom.  Officers followed him and found a crack pipe in plain sight.  Coffey gave Officers consent to search her residence and multiple active meth labs were found.
Jennings and Coffey were both arrested and have been charged with MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE, UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A METH PRECURSOR, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE and DRUG PARAPHERNALIA BUY/POSSESS.  Due to four children being inside the residence both were also charged with four separate counts of WANTON ENDANGERMENT 1ST DEGREE.
40 year old Eddie D. Mitchell was also at Coffey’s residence and has been charged with MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE.  All subjects were taken to the Barren County Detention Center.
