There was quite the crowd at Barren County High School yesterday afternoon, gathered to celebrate the signing of the new ‘Capstone for the Arts’ partnership between Western Kentucky University and Barren County High School.

This partnership will allow high school juniors and seniors to earn college credit hours in areas associated with the arts as Assistant Superintendent Mark Wallace explains:

WKU President Gary Ransdell said he was very impressed by emphasis Barren County Schools has placed on the arts:

Ransdell added that not only will this bring graduates closer to earning their degree, but they will gain an understanding of what is most important:
