After his girlfriend notified the police, a Glasgow man is facing several charges after evading the police, first by motor vehicle, then on foot.  Glasgow Police attempted to pull over 20 year old Matthew D. Lee of Ivy Street in Glasgow for speeding when he sped up to pass a vehicle over a double-yellow line, nearly hitting an oncoming vehicle in the process.  According to Police Reports, Lee drove through a culvert and over a tree stump before coming within a few feet of hitting a house on Cleveland Avenue.  He then exited the vehicle and fled on foot.  Officers found a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle.  Hours later, he was arrested after his girlfriend called the authorities.  He has been charged with FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE IN A MOTOR VEHICLE 1ST OFFENSE, FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE ON FOOT 1ST OFFENSE, RECKLESS DRIVING, DRIVING ON A DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE, TWO COUNTS OF WANTON ENDANGERMENT, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, AND POSSESION OF MARIJUANA.
