Kenneth Branstetter, 85, of Edmonton died Sunday morning, March 16th. He was the son of the late Raymon and Ora Mae Hurt Branstetter. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and long-time elder at the South Edmonton church of Christ where he served faithfully. He also served faithfully in business and in the community. In countless areas, whether farm supply, furniture or motel, from board member to bus driver, he extended genuine friendship and encouragement while demonstrating a truly humble spirit of kindness.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Barbara Simmons Branstetter; one brother Bob (Geneva) Branstetter of Edmonton, KY; two sisters Marilyn Grider of Glasgow, KY and Sue England of Murfreesboro, TN; one sister-in-law Ollie Branstetter of Glasgow, KY; three children and spouses Mike and Betty Branstetter of Edmonton, KY; Marna and Walton Harless of Huntsville, AL and Mark and Jackie Branstetter of Old Hickory, TN; eight grandchildren who knew him as "Dandy" Amy Branstetter, Rachael (Matt) Milligan, Alyson (Ed) Branstetter-Spalding, Emily (Alex) Martinez, Ken (Felicia) Branstetter, Tim (Molly) Harless, Luke Branstetter and Mary Grace Branstetter; and nine great grandchildren Trey, Charles Thomas, Louisa, Connor, Harding, Daniel, Trenton, Neely Anna and Ellie; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother Wendell and granddaughter Anna Beth Branstetter.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at South Edmonton church of Christ with burial in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Butler Funeral Home and after 9:00 AM Saturday at South Edmonton church of Christ.
