Leora Meredith, 83, of Brownsville passed away at 10:15 PM March 29, 2014 at Magnolia Village in Bowling Green.

The Edmonson County native was a certified nursing assistant and a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Elzie Jaggers and Ella Hunt Jaggers and the wife of the late Louis M. Meredith. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Lester and Romer Jaggers; and two sisters, Elva "Red" Meredith and Mary Vincent.

Surviving are two daughters, Karen Vincent of Glasgow and Lana Sue Meredith of Brownsville; two sons, Tranze Meredith of Corbin and David Meredith of Bowling Green; three sisters, Lillie Phillips and Bernice Carroll both of Bee Spring and Lorraine Blanton of Brownsville; six grandchildren, Brandon Shirley, Carolyn Miracle, Heather Sexton, Ashley Vibbert, Chris Logsdon and Katie Meredith; and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 PM Monday and 9 AM-9 PM Tuesday at Gravil Funeral Home and after 11 AM Wednesday at the church.
