The Kiwanis are a worldwide organization dedicated to helping children in need.  The Glasgow chapter does just that, right here at home as President Tim Doyle explains:

Along with making Christmas bright for these children, they also work with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the local Soup Kitchen, the Sheriff’s Ranch among other children’s charities.

Coming up this Saturday at Barren County Middle Schools is the Annual Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast, where Doyle says they will have more than just pancakes:

You can eat for only $5 from 7am-11am.  Be sure to get your bids in for the silent auction items at the Breakfast, all proceeds will go to benefit the Kiwanis.

Called the Early Birds, the Kiwanis meet every Wednesday morning at 6:00 at Plum Yum right here in Glasgow.  Everyone is invited to come by one of their meeting to learn more about what the Kiwanis do, they’ll even buy your breakfast.  For more information you can contact President Tim Doyle or any Kiwanis member.
