Collaboration between the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, the Glasgow Police Department, the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kentucky State Police has resulted in three arrests for two home invasions.

On February 27, 2014, a home on Olivia Drive was broken into, resulting in serious injury to the resident, Brandon Harper.  The next day, a residence on Whitney Woods Road was broken into as well.  Subjects burglarized the home, taking a safe, a gun, and an undisclosed amount of cash.  The resident, Freddie Smith, was attacked at the doorway and tied to a chair with an oxygen cord.  911 was called after a neighbor heard Smith’s cries for help.

Stewart W. Hodges, 31 of Glasgow, Adam Bryant, 36 of Edmonton, and Roxanne Whitlow, 32 of Edmonton, were arrested and charged with KIDNAPPING (WITH SERIOUS PHYSICAL INJURY), BURGLARY 1ST DEGREE, ASSAULT 1ST DEGREE, and TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.  All three subjects admitted to being involved in the planning and execution of the home invasions and are currently lodged in the Barren County Detention Center on probation violation charges stemming from incidents not related to these cases.

Glasgow Police Chief Turcotte and the Barren County Sheriff’s department have both expressed their gratitude for the cooperation involved in solving this case.
