FATAL COLLISION ON I-65 IN HART COUNTY PDF Print

On Wednesday, April 15, 2014 at 9:07 P.M. Kentucky State Police Trooper Jeremy Smith responded to the 68 mile point on I 65 in Hart County due to a fatal collision that involved two commercial vehicles.



According to Trooper Smith,  a commercial vehicle operated by Steven Finch (61) of Kellogg, IA was traveling south on I 65 in Hart County when he slowed down due to stalled traffic in the construction zone.  A second commercial vehicle operated by Martin Pack (50) of Sparta, TN  was also traveling south on I 65 and did not see the stalled traffic and collided with the back of the vehicle operated by Mr. Finch.



Mr. Pack was pronounced dead at the scene by Hart County Coroner Jeff Roten.   The investigation is still ongoing and is being led by Trooper Jeremy Smith.
