Glasgow Schools Are Growing, Suggest Ambassadors PDF Print

The Glasgow Independent School System is growing, reaching it’s highest number of students from Kindergarten to High School since 2002.  Among many factors, Glasgow Superintendent, Sean Howard, tells WCLU News that the Pre-School Program has played a big role in the growth of the district.

Glasgow School Board member, Elaine Richardson added that the Pre-School Program is experiencing significant growth as well.  With an increase in SEEK Funding as well as the construction of a new High School, the district, not including pre-school numbers, is now well over 2,000 students in enrollment.  Richardson and Howard discuss…

Another item the Glasgow School Board will discuss is the possibility of a Student Ambassador Program.  The district has taken not of a similar program at Russellville.  In the Middle School and High School, these Ambassadors will be the voice of the district.
