On Tuesday afternoon, a Warren County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was on patrol when he noticed thick smoke in the area of the 8000 block of Louisville Road.  Upon arrival, he found a building completely engulfed in flames.

27 year old Preston Wettstein of Oakland was in the area of the fire and had injures believed to be related to the fire.  Medical Center EMS responded to treat injuries, when Wettstein became unruly with medical personnel.  Wettstein was taken to the emergency room where he was treated and released.

He was then lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail on charges of BURGLARY 3RD DEGREE, ALCOHOL INTOXICATION and DISORDERLY CONDUCT.  The investigation is ongoing.

 

The Warren County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Smiths Grove Police Department, Kentucky State Arson Investigations, ATF, Richardsville, Smiths Grove, Gott and Barren River Volunteer Fire Departments and the Medical Center EMS.
