One Flown to Louisville in Hart Co Wreck PDF Print

Saturday morning, Kentucky State Police Post 3  received a report of an injury collision on US 31W in Hart County, KY.  When Trooper Jonathan McChesney responded to the scene he was able to determine the driver of unit one had crossed over the centerline striking unit two in a head on collision.

 

The driver of unit one is listed as 77 year old James F. Moore of Cloverdale Indiana.  He was treated at the Caverna Memorial Hospital for non life threatening injuries.  A passenger of unit one 72 year old Sharon D. Moore also of Cloverdale Indiana was not injured in the collision.  Neither occupant of unit one were  wearing their seat belt.  The driver of unit two 47 year old Elizabeth A. Sanders of Munfordville, KY was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital for non -life threatening injuries.  Mrs. Sanders was wearing her seat belt at the time of the collision.

 

 

Through the investigation it was determined that Mr. Moore crossed centerline as a result of a coughing episode or possible medical condition.  Alcohol is not suspected in the collision.   Trooper Jeremy Smith assisted in the investigation.
