After the short recess, fireworks were the topic as the City of Glasgow now has new regulations on the use of commercial fireworks.  The new law states that fireworks can only be used June 25th through July 3rd  and July 5th through the 7th between the hours of Noon and 10pm, on July 4th between Noon and 11pm, and on New Year’s Eve and Early Day between 11:30pm and 12:30am.  Any other date not specified would require a permit to be obtained from the city.  Mayor Rhonda Trautman says this new ordinance is in response to several complaints.

Violations of the ordinance would result in punishments that range from $50 fines to jail time depending on the amount of offenses.
