Glen Evans Page, age 85, of Tompkinsville returned to his heavenly Father on Friday June 13, 2014 at Monroe County Medical Center.

Born January 5, 1929 at Hanford, CA, he was the son of Bertha Blackmore and Ray (Artie Rush) Page. He was the husband of the late Hallye Davis and Sylvia Vibbert, who survives.

Retiring as Project Foreman from Levy Construction he was a carpenter and drywall finisher for 36 years in the Chicago area. He built houses, high-rise apartments and office buildings, hospitals, shopping malls and Baptist Churches.

He made his profession of faith November 5, 1943 and was baptized two days later. Ordained a Deacon by Monroe Baptist Church, he served 60 years in that capacity as well as serving as Church Trustee, Associational Board Member, Sunday School Teacher and Director for Churches in Illinois and Kentucky. He led in building Golf Road Baptist Church in  Des Plaines, Il and Wooddale Baptist in Wooddale, IL, where he was his family were charter members in 1964. In retirement he was a tireless worker for Camp Joy, Milltown Baptist, other Monroe County Churches and for friends and family.

Much loved and respected by his family, he is survived by his wife Sylvia, his sister, Betty Gayle Summers of Bowling Green, KY, his children: Joyce Collins, Louisville, KY; Sam (Fran) Page, Elgin, Il; Glenda (Ron) Timkovich, Litteton, CO; and Karen (Frank) Baute, Plano, TX, his grandchildren: Jamie (Cherron), Sammy, Adam (Rebecca), Ryan (Liz) Page; Melodie (Matt) Oliver, Lauren and Katie Timkovich and Jacob Baute. His great grandchildren: Hallye and Hayden Oliver, Noël, Calvin, Caiden, and Ava Page. His step sons: Chis (Teresa) and Johnnie (Tess) Bennett and step grandchildren: Michael, Kaylie and Hayley Bennett.

Funeral services will be at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. on June 16. Visitation is Sunday, June 15 after 3:00 P.M. Bro Derrick Proffitt, John Jordan and Bro. Tom Stokes officiating. Burial will be in the Old. Mt. Herman Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Monroe Baptist Church Building Fund.
