GPD Arrest Two On Drug-Related Charges PDF Print

On Saturday Officers Fields and Ford responded to a tip of a possible drug deal, with a vehicle description, on Barrett Avenue in Glasgow.  Upon arrival, Officers Ford and Fields located the vehicle and made contact with the driver 21 year old Andrew Froedge and 19 year old Justice Austin, both of Glasgow.  Austin told Officers he did have marijuana and Froedge gave Officers written consent to search the vehicle.  The search yielded four bags of suspected marijuana, a set of digital scales, several small empty baggies and other assorted items associated with trafficking in controlled substance.  Officers also found what appeared to be a bag of crack cocaine, but turned out to be candle wax.

Both Froedge and Austin were arrested and charged with DRUG PARAPHERNALIA BUY/POSSESS, POSSESSION OF SYNTHETIC DRUGS, TRAFFICKING IN SYNTHETIC DRUGS 1ST OFFENSE and POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA 1ST OFFENSE.  Additionaly, Austin faces a charge of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF LEGEND DRUG.

 

All individuals arrested were taken to the Barren County Detention Center.
