Winford Leon “Wimpy” Carroll, 79 of Munfordville passed away Wednesday morning at his home.  He was a son of the late Claude Everett Carroll & Ollie Wilson Carroll.  Mr. Carroll was a retired employee of Louisville Slugger, a farmer, a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, a mason with the Cub Run Lodge #910 F& AM and a Korean veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.

He is survived by: 2 Sons-Gary Carroll & wife Melinda of Cub Run, Jonathon Carroll of Upton; 4 Daughters-Cheri Dennis & hus. Jason of Cub Run, Hannah Butler & hus. Nicholas of Elizabethtown, Wendy Durbin of Upton, Mary Kay Carroll of Louisville; 3 Brothers-James Carroll & wife Helen of Florida, Charles Carroll & wife Imogene of Elizabethtown, Herbert Carroll of Hodgenville; 3 Sisters-Willie Graas & hus. George of Elizabethtown, Joann Adair & hus. Danny of Louisville, Ruth Hodges & hus. Eddie of Munfordville; 6 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Paul Glen Carroll & David Vincent Carroll, by 1 sister Pauline Tabb and by 1 great-grandson Dalton Carroll

Funeral services for Winford “Wimpy” Carroll will be 2pm Saturday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial in the Munfordville Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am-9pm Friday and after 8am Saturday at the Sego Funeral Home.  A masonic service will be 7pm Friday at the funeral home.
