GLASGOW MAN GETS DUI-LEADS TO DRUG ARREST PDF Print

On Saturday, Officer Houchens with the GPD observed a vehicle on S L Rogers Wells Blvd swerve off the roadway to the point where half the vehicle was on the shoulder of the road.  Upon turning onto South Green Street, Houchens observed the vehicle cross over the center line and tailgate a truck and trailer, so he conducted a traffic stop.

 

The driver 35 year old Terry Brandon Browning of Glasgow, told Officer Houchens that he did not have a drivers license and dispatch confirmed that the license was suspended.  Dispatch also advised Officer Houchens that Brownings vehicle had left from IGA Shell Express and an employee had reported he had stolen several items and was possibly under the influence.  Officer Houchens had Browning exit the vehicle and he did not pass field sobriety tests.

 

Browning was arrested and charged with RECKLESS DRIVING, OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE 3RD OFFENSE, THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING UNDER $500, DRIVING ON A DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA BUY POSSESS.  He was taken and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
