Bowling Green police responded to two robberies on Wednesday.  BG Officers responded to a complaint of a burglary at Nelso Auto Sales on Russellville Road.  The owner told Officers when he had left the business on Tuesday night everything was locked up and when he returned on Thursday morning a window in the rear of the building had been broken.  The intruder took a lock box containing cash and coins and a smart phone.  There are no suspects at this time.

Also on Wednesday, BG Officers responded to a complaint of a burglary at Lost River Power Sports.  The owner told officers that a large plate glass window in the front of the store had been shattered and someone had stolen a motorcycle.  The suspects had used a spark plug, a large socket and a large rock to shatter the window, and got away with a motorcycle.  The owner told Officers that the doors were still locked and the alarm was still set.  The thermostat was ripped off the wall, Officers assume the burglars thought it was the alarm system.  Dispatch also confirmed there was no report of an alarm at the business, which seemed to be very unusual.  Officers did find fingerprints on the socket and a partial print on the front of the thermostat.  The investigation is ongoing.
