February 3, 1980 – Kay Lile joins the staff of First Federal Savings and Loan.

February 7, 1980 – Births include Benjamin David Moss, Jamie Brooke Ruth, Bradley Alan Dickerson and Brian Keith Bushong.

February 10, 1980 – Bonnie Thomerson was judged Young Career Woman in competition conducted by Glasgow B & PW club. Runners up were Jane Simmons and Brenda Leftwich.

Taylor Prescription Service opens at corner of S. Green Street and Wayne Street. Joe Donald and Kyle are owners and operators. Staff includes Norma Walden, Phyllis White, Larry Davis, Jana Stephens and Jeff Wilson.

February 11, 1980 – Freddie Proffitt and Stan McKnney prepare for the Ladies Matinee Musical Program “Parade of American Music”

February 17, 1980 – Ray Lewis and Goldie Estes are crowned Barren County Health Care Valentine King and Queen.

February 18, 1980 – Dr. Gary O. Inman will be opening an orthodontic practice at 1300 N. Race Street on March 5.

February 20, 1980 – Steeple is installed at Calvary Baptist Church on Columbia Ave. The church pastor, Billy Compton, climbed to the top of the church to watch.

February 21, 1980 – 29 sites in Metcalfe County are listed on the Survey of Historic Sites in Kentucky. Some of those included are Beula Villa Hotel, Old Macie House, Robert Stockton House and Bottomless Spring.

February 22, 1980 – Kevin and Karen Mullins will celebrate their 16th birthday on February 29th. Their leap year birth day only comes every four years.

February 24, 1980 – Steven Davenport joins the staff of Bishop and Stone Insurance Agency.

February 25, 1980 – The Glasgow Common Council is expected to give its approval of the $1 million renovation project in the Highland Ave. Area at its Monday meeting.

North Jackson Homemakers Charter Members Mrs. Henry Steen, Mrs. J. B. Neeley, and Mrs. Ruby Owens celebrate their 34th anniversary.

After Five Homemaker Club is organized. Mrs. Charles David Smith was elected president. 
February 26, 1980 – Wayne Davis is a candidate for State Jaycee President.

Four Glasgow girls received pins at WKU Dept. of Nursing. Terri Coombs, Vivian R. Sublett, Jennie Willoughby Edwards and Andra Bagby Franklin.
