The annual Barren County High School FFA Citrus Fruit Sales are ongoing. You may order from any FFA Member or by calling 651-2627. The proceeds from the fruit sales provide the funding necessary for FFA Members to participate in the various leadership opportunities.

The American Red Cross will have a blood drive this Friday, December 19 from 2PM to 7PM at Zaxby’s. There is still a need for all blood types.

The Glasgow Fire Department will be dipping Christmas Trees through Tuesday, December 23 from 9AM to 8PM each day.  The tree is dipped in a flame retardant substance and will enhance the life of your tree.  Everyone using a fresh cut tree is urged to take advantage of this free service.

The residents of Norris Court will light up their neighborhood with luminaries on the nights of December 23 and December 24.  The public is invited to drive through the streets of Norris Court, Ridgecrest, Windsor, Brice and Wingate beginning at dusk. Drivers are ask to use parking lights only.

The Barren County Child Support Office will close at 12PM Wednesday, December 24 and will be closed Thursday and Friday, December 25th and 26th.

Glasgow City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25 in observance of the Christmas Holiday. Wednesday’s Garbage will be picked up on Friday, December 26 and Thursday’s garbage will be collected the following Monday, December 29.  There will be no bus service on Wednesday, December 24 or Christmas Day, December 25.  The Glasgow Landfill will be open form 8am to 11:30am on Wednesday and be closed all day on Christmas Day and regular hours on Friday, December 26 which is 8am to 3:30pm.

The Barren County Clerk’s Office will be closed on Wednesday, December 24 through Saturday, December 27 and will be closed Thursday, January 1 through Saturday, January 3.

There will be a Global Fest Meeting every 4th Friday at the Bunch Center beginning at 6:30PM. Everyone is invited. Anyone interested in being of the Global Fest Committee is encouraged to attend.

Glasgow City Hall will be closed on Thursday, January 1 in observance of the New Year’s Holiday.

The Glasgow Landfill will be closed Thursday, January 1 and will return to normal operating hours on Friday, January 2.  Thursday’s garbage and recycling will be collected on Friday, January 2.  Please have out by 7am.

The city bus will not run on Thursday, January 1.

Bitty Ball Registration is ongoing at the Parks and Recreation Department Office until January 9 for grades Kindergarten through 2nd grade, Monday through Friday from 7:30am until 4:30pm.  Coaches are needed. All games and practices will be held at the Parks and Recreation Gymnasium.  For more information call 651-3811 or 651-9012.
