James Stanton, 81 of Munfordville passed away Wednesday at the Hospice Center in Bowling Green. He was a native of Grayson Co. and was the son of the late Samuel Robert Stanton & Dora Ellen Kerr Stanton. He was a retired mechanic and farmer, was a Kentucky Colonel and was saved at the Broadford Baptist Church.

1 Sister-Ida Sullivan of Munfordville
5 Grandchildren-Cody Rucker & Amy, Deborah Stephens, Ethan Marr, Brynn Bullock, Kaelyn Hoffman & husband Dave
2 Great-grandchildren-Emma Rucker & Katherine Stephens

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane and a brother-Marshall Stanton.

Funeral services will be 1pm Friday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial in the Munfordville Municipal cemetery. Vistation will be Thursday from 3-8pm and after 8am Friday at the Sego Funeral Home. In leir of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Ky in Bowling Green.
