Phyllis Ann Turner Comer, age 67, of Gamaliel, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

She was born in Monroe County, KY, on December 8, 1943 to the late Thomas Earl Turner and Mary Ruth Hood Turner.  She was a retired garment factory worker for KY. Apparel, and a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church.  She was united in marriage on November 25, 1961 to Jerry Comer.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Comer of Gamaliel, two sons and daughters-in-law: Jeff & Sherry Comer, Chris & Tori Dawn Comer all of Red Boiling Spgs., TN and 4 grandchildren: Makenzie, Brilee, Keaton and Emma Comer.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister: Jean Little and a grandchild: Trelany Jordon Comer.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 8 at 1:00 PM at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with burial to follow in the Neal Cemetery.

Friends may call after 11:00 AM on Monday at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel.

Memorials are suggested to the Gamaliel Fire Department.
