THREE VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON TROJAN TRAIL IN GLASGOW INJURES TWO PDF Print

A three-vehicle accident Monday in Glasgow resulted in injuries to two people. The accident occurred on Trojan Trail when a 2009 Nissan driven by 18-year-old David Thomas of Glasgow and a 2002 Chrysler driven by 16-year-old Mary F. Ballard of were both starting from a stopped position in traffic heading west on Trojan Trail. A pickup truck behind the Ballard vehicle then made a quick lane change into the turning lane as a 1999 GMC driven by 17-year-old Benjamin L. Matthews of Glasgow was approaching from behind. Matthews could not slow down in time before striking the Ballard vehicle in the rear. When the Ballard vehicle was struck it was pushed into the back of the Thomas vehicle. Ballard was taken to TJ Samson Community Hospital for treatment of injuries. A passenger in the Matthews vehicle, 16-year-old Derek Gossett of Glasgow, was also taken to TJ Samson Community Hospital for treatment of injuries. Matthews and Thomas were not injured. Officer Cowan of the Glasgow Police Department investigated.
