Glasgow Police make 2 arrests regarding drug possession

GLASGOW, Ky. – Authorities in Glasgow made two recent drug arrests.

Glasgow Police responded to the Days Inn on July 16 in reference to a complaint of a subject that was not supposed to be there, a news release said.

An officer made contact with Kelly Houchens and located a small container inside his pocket that contained methamphetamine. The officer also located some glass pipes inside the room.

Houchens, of Glasgow, was arrested and charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (first offense, methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On a seperate note, authorities responded to Newman Street in an attempt to serve an arrest warrant on July 18.

An officer received consent to search the residence and located Courtney Flickner hiding in a closet. Police discovered methamphetamine, pills and a glass pipe.

Courtney D. Flickner, of Glasgow, was arrested and charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (first offense, methamphetamine), possession of a controlled subtrance (second degree, drug unspecified), possession of drug paraphernalia and prescription controlled substance not in proper container (first offense).
