Edgar Ervin Blythe, 91, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Friday, August 14th, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital.
Edgar was born in the Big Sulphur Community of Monroe County, KY on March 29, 1929, a son of the late Lucy (Young) and Robert Allen Blythe.
On October 9, 1948, he married Alene Shaw Blythe. Alene preceded him in death one July 28, 2008.
Edgar is survived by three daughters, Wanda, wife of John Biggerstaff, of Tompkinsville, KY; Mae, wife of George Biggerstaff, of Tompkinsville, KY; Patricia, wife of Rocky Evans, of Tompkinsville, KY;three sons Don, husband of Martha Blythe, of Tompkinsville, KY; Jimmy, husband of Patricia Blythe, of Tompkinsville, KY; Johnny Blythe, of Tompkinsville, KY; special nephew, Wayne Blythe; 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren, and one sisters, Irene Warren, of Tompkinsville, KY.
Edgar is preceded in death by brothers, Bedford, Buford & Eagle Ray Blythe, sisters, Anna Mae Richardson, Nola Belle Warren, Doyle Isenberg, and two grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 18th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
Visitation is Monday, 5-8 PM, and Tuesday after 8 AM until service time at 2 PM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
Burial is in White Cemetery.
