Mattie Bell Polston age 81 of Canmer, passed away Friday at her home. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Kathleen Jaggers Polston. Ms. Polston was a homemaker, a seamstress and a member of the Concord Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death her brothers and sisters-William Polston, Amos Polston, Margie Jewell, Pauline Polston, Anna Jean Rayburn & Glenda Polston.
She was a mother to seven children-William Robert Durham(Christina) of Munfordville,
Donnie Vance(Jennifer) of Canmer, Tommy Vance of Canmer, Larry Vance(Leslie) of Canmer
David Vance(Lottie) of Canmer, Linda Avery(Danny) of Canmer and Brenda Simpson(Ricky) of Cave City
She has 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren
also One brother Floyd Polston of Hardyville
Funeral services for Mattie Bell Polston will be 11am Tuesday, August 18 in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Nathan Rayburn officiating. Burial will be in the Defries Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11am-8pm and after 8am Tuesday at the Sego Funeral Home. The family request that memorial donations be given to the funeral home to assist with the funeral expenses.
