Tommy Carroll Priddy

Tommy Carroll Priddy, 81, died late Thursday, August 13th at his home surrounded by family, after about 9 months of illness.

Tom entered this life on June 6, 1939 in Brownsville, KY as the only child born to Roscoe and Chlorene Cooke Priddy. His mother died when he was a young boy and he was raised by a host of loving aunts and uncles, to whom he was always grateful for their kindness and generosity.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served as a fireman. Tom was also a longtime restauranteur, a lover of books, woodworking, blacksmithing, stock car racing, and a faithful loving Daddy and Papaw. He attended Southwest Jr. College in Summitt, Mississippi.

Tom is survived by his wife, Margie C. Priddy; his son, Michael D Priddy (Cindy); two daughters, Vanessa L. Priddy Lyons (Jody) and Rebecca C. Priddy; as well as three granddaughters, Gracie Lyons, Andrea and Samantha Priddy.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Roscoe Priddy, and his mother, Chlorene as well as many beloved aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 with burial to follow in the Cave City Cemetery with military honors performed by the D.A.V. Chapter 20 Glasgow, Ky. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, August 17 at Winn Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
