David Carter

David Carter, 64, of Scottsville, KY passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 at the Medical Center at Scottsville.  The Scottsville, KY native was a journeyman plumber, avid musician and songwriter and former member of the Gospel Way Singers.  He was a son of the late William Willis Carter and Vera Mae McGuffey Carter, who survives. 

He is survived by his wife:  Jan Parrish Carter, Scottsville, KY; 

His mother:  Vera Mae Carter, Scottsville, KY; 

1 son:  William Paul Carter, Bowling Green, KY; 

2 daughters:  Christy Carter and Amy Carter, both of Scottsville, KY; 

1 step son:  David Taylor, Scottsville, KY;

4 brothers:  Kenneth Carter; Danny Carter and wife, Sheila; Andy Carter and Ricky Carter and wife, Lisa, all of Scottsville, KY; 

2 sisters:  Debbie Carter and Sandy Anderson and husband, Jeff, all of Scottsville, KY; 

4 grandchildren:  Cynthia Towe, Chloe Carter, Christopher Carter and Cory Carter; 

1 great grandson:  Caden Taylor. 

 

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Patrick officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 7:00 a.m. Thursday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.   According to the Kentucky Funeral Directors Association guidelines, social distancing and face masks are preferred, and the lounge is closed to the public.   The funeral can be viewed live on the Goad Funeral Home Facebook page beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
