Jean King, age 90, of Cave City, died Sunday, August 16, 2020 at TJ Samson Community Hospital.  She was born in Glasgow on March 1, 1930, to the late Harley Shugart and the late Mary Jewell Hicks.  She was a homemaker who loved to travel.  She loved the many pets she had over the years and was always looking for a good recipe. She was with wife of the late Ralph O. King.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Ortega (Jessie) of New Albany IN; two grandchildren, Daniel Ortega (Tracy) of Cave City and Amanda Ortega of Louisville; one great grandchild, Elliott Holcomb, three step-grandchildren Holly, John (Alyssa), Heather (Shane) and one great step granddaughter Olivia; one sister Connie Delk “Wayne” of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Lavice Tobin.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, August 20th at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday and Thursday morning until time for services at the funeral home

All those who wish to honor and remember Mrs. King in person at the visitation or service must wear a mask or other appropriate facial covering and practice physical distancing while inside the funeral home for the safety of those in attendance.
