James Robert Hood, 60, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Wednesday, August 19th, at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.
James was born in Tompkinsville, KY on February 4, 1960, a son of the late Ana M (McQue) and Robert Franklin Hood.
On August 22, 1981, he married Anita Hume at the home of her parents.
He worked at RR Donnelley for 24 years.
James is survived by his wife, Anita Hood, of Tompkinsville, KY; two sons Chris Hood, and wife, Jessica, of Glasgow, KY and Steven Hood, of Bowling Green, KY; one granddaughter, River Jayde Hood.
James is also survived by four sisters, Sue Hood, of Glasgow, KY; Lou Connelly, of Tompkinsville, KY; Dixie McIntyre, of Lafayette, TN; Nancy Miller, of Lafayette, TN; and his in-laws, Rudolph and Effie Hume, of Tompkinsville, KY.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 22nd at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY.
Visitation is after 10:00 AM on Saturday morning until service time at 2:00 PM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
Burial is in Skaggs Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Skaggs Creek Cemetery.
