Daphna Dee Ford, age 98, of Glasgow, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020 at the NHC Healthcare facility in Glasgow. Daphna was born, November 21, 1921 in Dry fork, KY. She was the daughter of the late Boyd and Gladys Thomerson Smith. Daphna was a 1938 graduate of Austin-Tracy High School. After high school she became a Beautician and worked for over 60 years at Daphna’s Beauty Shop. She loved playing Rook with her friends and was a member of the South Green Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sisters, Sarah Norman and Genave Steenbergen both of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ira Ford; one brother, Charles Bryant Smith; one sister, Dorothy Thomas.
Funeral service for Daphna Ford will be 2:00pm Tuesday, August 25th at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:00am until 2:00pm at the funeral home.
