James Raymer

James Raymer, age 74, of Sweeden, departed this life on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. The Edmonson County native was born on September 27, 1945 to the late Noel and Dolly Hogan Raymer. He was married to Rita Lindsey Raymer, who also preceded him in death.

James retired as a heavy equipment operator, and was a member of Beaver Dam United Baptist Church.   He loved his family, and thoroughly enjoyed being a “Popaw”  and caring for his grandchildren.

He leaves to honor his memory– two sons, Kevin Raymer (Stacy) of Chalybeate and Ken Raymer (Mendy) of Sweeden; five grandchildren, Logan Raymer (Alexis), Carly Staron (Casey), Ben Raymer, Blake Raymer and Bryce Raymer; two great-grandchildren, Emmerson Raymer and Landry Raymer; two sisters, Suzie Hardin and Rosalie Durbin (Keith) and several nieces and nephews.  Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Noel “Nick” Raymer, Jr. 

Interment will be in Beaver Dam Church Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Cub Creek Cemetery Fund. 

THE VISITATION AND FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE PRIVATE.
