Thomas Harold Joyce, Sr., 84, of Scottsville, KY passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at his residence. The Richlands, VA native was a retired over-the-road driver for Heartland, retired bus driver for the Allen County School System, a former deputy jailer for the Allen County Detention Center and a member of Northstar Community Church. He was a son of the late John Rufus Joyce and Gertrude Lockhart Joyce Sawyer.
He is survived by his wife: Margie Joyce, Scottsville, KY;
3 sons: Thomas Harold Joyce, Jr. and Rockie Joyce and wife, Linda, all of Scottsville, KY; Stephen K. Joyce and wife, Melody, Bethel Springs, TN;
1 daughter: Barb Maley and husband, Anthony, Parker, CO;
2 brothers: Dewey Hill, Dallas, TX and Harvey Joyce, Columbus, OH;
11 grandchildren: Jason Biondolilio, Thomas M. Joyce, Joseph Joyce, Josh Joyce, John Roth, Katie Hibbard, David Joyce, Gina Dickson, Cathy Joyce, Gabrielle Joyce and Stephenie Joyce;
16 great grandchildren: Jacob Morgillo; Jayla and Jack Biondolilio; Lilly, Gabby and Astrid Joyce; Alex and Lexi Dickson; Jacob Joyce; Bristol, Embri and Forrest Young; Abram Joyce; McKenzie Hibbard; Angela Roth and Devin Roth.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother: Jack Joyce and 3 sisters: Helen Perkins, Hazel Whitt and Dorthy Stearns.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Graves officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 7:00 a.m. Friday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, VA with burial at 2:00 p.m. at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hills, VA.
