Mrs. Karen Sue (Scherzer) Reed of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 58 years, 4 months and 4 days. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, on Friday, April 27, 1962, the daughter of John Richard and Thelma Eldred Scherzer. She was of the Catholic Faith and a homemaker. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Scherzer.
She is survived by her mother, Thelma (Eldred) Scherzer of Toledo, Ohio, husband, Dallas Reed of Burkesville, Kentucky, children, Justin Reed of Toledo, Ohio, Dallas Reed Jr. of Holland, Ohio, Ernest (and Rachel) Reed of Albany, Kentucky, Ross (and Emily) Scherzer of WhiteHouse, Ohio, Jeff (and Cindy) Scherzer of Toledo, Ohio, Sherry (and Leroy) Kozlowski of Toledo, Ohio, Barbara Beck of Michigan, grandchildren, Delya Reed, Tucker Reed, Mason Reed.
The funeral will be conducted on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 5, 2020 after 5:00 p.m. until the funeral hour on Sunday. Norris-New Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all the arrangements.
