By Mark Buckles Mar 6, 2021 | 9:58 AM

FRANKFORT, Ky (AP) — Gov. Andy Beshear says Kentucky is continuing along a trend of steadily declining coronavirus cases.

Kentucky reported 920 new confirmed coronavirus cases Friday and 22 virus-related deaths. More than 600 people are hospitalized. The state’s positivity rate has lowered to 4.25%. Seventeen of Kentucky’s 120 counties are reported to be in the red zone — the most serious category for COVID-19 incidence rates.

\People in those counties are asked to follow stricter recommended guidelines to contain the virus.
