GLASGOW, Ky. — A new fast-food restaurant has purchased property and a building in Glasgow.

Cook Out is a Thomasville, North Carolina-based fast-food chain. The restaurant serves hamburgers, barbecue and milkshakes among other “cookout” items.

The primary owner is noted as Maxim Holdings LLC, which is a property management service.

A purchase including 2.43 acres and one building was made March 26. The purchase totaled $888,000, according to documents obtained from the Barren County Clerk’s Office.

Taco John’s formerly inhabited the site where Cook Out plans to move, which is located at 213 S. L. Rogers Wells Blvd.

It’s unclear when the restaurant plans to open.
