Nora Frances Pursley, 88 of Glasgow, died Monday, May 10, 2021 at
her home after a lengthy illness. She was born in Barren County, KY, the
daughter of the late Eugene “Genie” Morgan and Alice Pedigo Morgan. She was
employed by NHC Homewood Nursing Home for many years. She loved sewing,
crocheting, gardening, and cooking in her past time. She is preceded in
death by her husband, Wilbur Pursley. Nora and Wilbur were united in
marriage July 19, 1955.
Survivors include her two sons: Harold Pursley (Wanda) of Haywood
and Darold Pursley (Jennifer) of Glasgow; her two grandsons Quentin Pursley
(Lindsey) of Bowling Green, KY and Stuart Pursley (Dilyana) of Lawrenceburg,
KY; four sisters: Minnie Garrison of Scottsville, Margaret Mortimer of
Glasgow, Wanda Perkins (Jimmy) of Glasgow, and Judy Turner of Glasgow; four
brothers: Gene Morgan of Ohio, Terry Morgan of Glasgow, Roger Morgan
(Carrie) of Oakland, KY and Ronnie Morgan (Ronetta) of Glasgow; two
sisters-in-law: Joyce Morgan of Glasgow and Marilyn DeLong of Indiana;
several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by one
sister, Eugenia Byrd and three brothers: Robert, Jessie, and Roddie Morgan;
three sisters-in-law: Margaret Morgan, Elsie Morgan, and Nancy Morgan; three
brothers-in-law: Eldon Byrd, Ray Garrison, and Ronald Mortimer.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Bowles
Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 at the cemetery. Arrangements
are entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
