Glasgow, Ky – On Thursday TJ Regional Health posted a video update to their Facebook page. CEO Neil Thornbury, shared the latest information on the recent surge of COVID-19 patients at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

Thornbury shared that the patients they have now are of every age category and mostly unvaccinated.

A majority of the counties in Kentucky including Barren County are in the Red Zone indicating a major outbreak and TJ Samson like most hospitals is near capacity and appreciates your patience as they ensure every patient is cared for properly.

Although 5 weeks ago TJ Hospital had zero patients with COVID-19, the Covid unit has now been reopened and the hospitals Covid surge plan has been reimplemented.

Thornbury also reminded everyone of the vaccine clinics and Covid testing that the hospital offers.

TJ Regional Health encourages everyone to continue to wear a mask, wash your hands frequently and to social distance when possible.
