Kentucky 63, or Tompkinsville Road, reopened Monday to travel after an extended closure while realignment construction was underway.

GLASGOW, Ky. — Motorists traveling along Kentucky 63 in Barren County will no longer experience a curved stretch of roadway.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet began work last month on a portion of roadway between the Cumberland Expressway overpass and Fox Trail. The curve realignment project was completed Monday, and the roadway has reopened.
“This section of KY 63 reopened this morning and motorists are driving on a new safer alignment of KY 63 in this section,” according to a KYTC District 3 Twitter post.
The roadway formerly curved down a hillside along Tompkisville Road in eastern Barren County.
