GLASGOW – A Cave City man charged with rape, sodomy and sexual abuse was found guilty Thursday.
Larry J. Moulder, 56, was found guilty by a Barren County jury in Barren Circuit Court. Moulder allegedly abused a juvenile family member on numerous occasions, according to a press release from the Barren County Sheriff’s Office. They started an investigation in April 2019.
The jury found him guilty on charges of first degree rape (victim under 12), first degree incest (victim under 12), and sexual abuse (victim under 12). They reached the verdict after a two day trial that began Wednesday.
The terms of the sentence include a recommendation of three life terms plus 10 years – all to run consecutively together.
The Barren County Sheriff’s Office collaborated with members of the 43rd Judicial Circuit Commonwealth Attorney’s Office and the Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center. Attorney Resa Gardner led the prosecution and was assisted by John Gardner.
