EDMONTON, Ky. — Candidates in Metcalfe County continue to file papers with their intentions to run for office in 2022.
Among those running are some incumbents. Many are new to Metcalfe County’s political scene.
Magistrate filings include Harvey Hawkins (D) and Brock Stilts (R) in District 1, Kevin Crain (R) in District 2, and Keith Corum (R), Ronnie Miller (R) and Timothy Hubbard (D) in District 4. There are no filings in District 3, according to recent filing information from the Metcalfe County Clerk’s Office.
Sharon B. Howard (R) has filed for Metcalfe County Attorney.
Shannon Fields (D) has filed as Metcalfe County Clerk.
Metcalfe County Coroner filings include Mark Froedge (D), Lee Ann Caffee Jones (D) and Greg Wilson (D).
Metcalfe County Judge-Executive filings include Benny Lile (R) and Larry Wilson (D).
Metcalfe County Sheriff filings include Dalton Bragg (D), Tony Shockley (R) and Mike Burton (R).
Randall Shive (R) has filed for Metcalfe County Jailer.
Michael Welsh (D) has filed for Metcalfe County PVA.
Jacob C. Garmon is the only candidate for Edmonton City Council, thus far.
The filing deadline in Kentucky closes Jan. 7, 2022.
