Willie Michael Simmons, 58, of Fountain Run, KY, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at his home. Michael was born on November 27, 1963, a son of the late Katherine (Huffine) and Willie Edward Simmons.
Throughout his life, he worked at Federal Mogul and Dollar General, all while farming. He attended the Church of God.
Michael is survived by his children, Harley Simmons (Jon Flowers), of Fountain Run, KY; Kyle Simmons, of Fountain Run, KY; Josh Perrigo (Tinekia), of Red Boiling Springs, TN; Justin Gillespie, of Fountain Run, KY; Kassey Russell, of Fountain Run, KY; Brittney Smith (Rocky) of Arkansas; 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by a sister, Cathy Stinson (Ronnie) of Gamaliel, KY; brothers, Jimmy Simmons (Kristy), of Tompkinsville, KY; Billy Simmons (Barbara) of Tompkinsville, KY; Roger Simmons (Joann), of Scottsville, KY; lifelong companion and friend, Shelia Simmons, of Fountain Run, KY; aunt, Millie Burgess; uncle, Randall Huffine (Jewel); several nieces, nephews, friends and extended family survives.
Other than his parents, Michael is preceded in death by a brother, James Edward Simmons; son, Christopher Simmons; Grandson, Samuel Simons; sister-in-law, Sarah “Cody” Simmons and a nephew, Cameron Dakota Simmons.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 15 at 2:00 PM at Fountain Run Funeral Home, with Bro. Tim Eaton officiating. Burial to follow at Fountain Run Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday, 3-8 PM, and Sunday, 8:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM at Fountain Run Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory may be made to help with funeral expenses.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fountain Run Funeral Home.
