James Granvil Sanders

James Granvil Sanders, 86, of Mammoth Cave passed away Nov. 12, 2022 at his home.
The Edmonson County native was a farmer and a member of Hill Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Claude Sanders and Effie Carroll Sanders and the husband of the late Florene Allen Sanders. He was preceded in death by a son, Ross Lane Sanders; two sisters, Leota Lindsey and Blanche Forrest; and four brothers, Overt Sanders, Leslie Sanders, Carl Sanders and Milburn Sanders.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hill Grove Cemetery. Visitation will take place 4-7 PM Monday, 10:00 AM-7:00 PM Tuesday and after 10:00 AM Wednesday.
Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Lindsey (David) of Lindseyville; a son, James Sanders (Christina) of Mammoth Cave; two grandchildren, Tiffany Carnes (Kyle) and Amber Brooks (Tyler); two step grandchildren, Jamie Payne and Yulissa Bennett; five great grandchildren, Braxton Carnes, Zaylee Carnes, Emerson Carnes, Greyson Brooks and Kade Brooks; a step great grandchild, Kinleigh Brooks; and several nieces and nephews.
