Helen Deloris Adwell, 89, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023 at her residence. She was born May 24, 1933 in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late William Horace Thomas and Myrtie Catherine Lemons Thomas. Helen was a RN at T. J. Samson Community Hospital for 42 years.
Survivors include her two grandchildren, Damien Clark of Glasgow, Will Clark of Ashland; six siblings, Richard Thomas (Ilene), Amelia Newland (Jim), Margaret Bennett, Glenda Kruer, all of Louisville, Tony Thomas, Carolyn Thomas, both of Cave City; five nephews, Richard Wayne Thomas, Paul Newland, Patrick Newland (Sondra), Jason Anson, Larry Kruer (Miseline); one niece, Tiffany Fehribach (Charles); and her special caregivers, Hettie Sanders and Martha Hammer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 30 years, William R. Adwell; second husband, Carl Asbury; one daughter, Jackie Clark; two siblings, James Thomas, Barbara Anson; one niece, Benita Thomas; and one brother-in-law, Gary Bennett.
The funeral service for Mrs. Adwell will be held 1:00 PM Friday, January 27th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM and on Friday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F.
