GLASGOW — Police in Glasgow say a crash Saturday sent three people to an area hospital. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
Authorities responded to the scene at the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Indistrial Drive. A vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign in the area and crashed into another car.
Police say Wallace Morton of Smiths Grove was driving a 2000 Chevy truck northbound along Glen Garry Road. He allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and hit a 2010 Nissan Titan traveling westbound along Cleveland Avenue. Michael Johnson of Glasgow was driving the truck.
Morton and a passenger, Tina Morton, were taken to T.J. Samson Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. Johnson was taken to the hospital, too, and was later released.
The incident is still under investigation. Police believe alcohol contributed to the crash. Officer Nick Houchens is leading the investigation.
