FRANKFORT — Gov. Andy Beshear has directed all flags at state office buildings to be lowered to half-staff in honor of those who died during a school shooting in Nashville on Monday morning.
A gunman entered a private, Christian school on Monday and killed six people. Three of those killed were children under age 11.
A proclamation was issued from the White House, and the state government followed. The order is in place until sunset on Friday, March 31.
While the directive is an order for all state-based businesses, the governor encourages private businesses, organizations and individuals to follow the state in the tribute.
