2-13-2003 – Athena Award goes to Krissie Coe Fields at the annual Glasgow/Barren County Chamber of Commerce banquet.
AARP Officers are President Gloria Hensley, Corresponding Secretary, Ruby Wade, Public Relations Chairman Edna Railey, Alt. Treasurer Mary Ed Chamberlain, VP Paul Bastien, Recording Secretary, Jean London and Treasurer Ann Rodgers.
Extreme Youth All-Stars ended the season and placed 2nd at the Jamfest Open Nationals in Gatlinburg.
Tommy Jackson is the Volunteer of the year and the Farmer of the Year award goes to Kenneth Edwards, Jr. at the Glasgow/Barren County Chamber of Commerce Banquet.
2-20-2003 – National FFA Week is proclaimed in Barren County.

2-27-2003 – I-66 Public Information Meeting was hosted by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet last week at the Red Cross School discussing 23 possible corridors between Natcher Parkway and Nunn Parkway.

Valentine King and Queen at Barren County Health Care Center is Bobbie Morris and Loman Watkins. The King and Queen at Glenview Health Care was Dewey and Gertie Watkins.
A large crowd gathered to send off the 30 member detachment 4, 307th Maintenance Co. Ky. National Guard. They were deployed as part of the Enduring Freedom, the name of the nation’s ongoing war on terror.
