4-3-2003 – Barren Fiscal Court votes to begin the development of a land use ordinance, also VFD dues to be added to tax bills.

After 57 years in business, Georgia Lou Wilson announces her retirement. Dr. James Rynerson has acquired Jean Opticians and Lester Daniel will remain.
Russell Estes, Edmonton, was recently awarded the prestigious Kentucky Tennis Association Education Award from the Kentucky Tennis Association.

Glasgow Garden Club observes Arbor Day by planting a tulip poplar at Red Cross School. Club members Olene Follis, Elinora Jeffcoat, Martha Nelson, Mary Ann Simmons, Ruth Wood, Sally Puntel and Wendy Salsbury did the planting.
Glasgow Garden Club is once again sponsoring the Lighted Dogwood Festival April 18-20 in Glasgow.
