Mr. Bobby Dale Bybee, 81 of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at his daughter’s home. Bobby was born in Monroe County, on September 23, 1941, a son of the late Owen Cleo and Lennis Elizabeth (Wright) Bybee. Bobby married Anna Lee Webb on May 26, 1962; she preceded him in death in 2008. He worked for Homer Bartley Lumber Company for over Fifty years and retired from Roy Anderson Lumber Company when he turned 80. Bobby enjoyed spending time with his family, on his farm and taking care of the cattle.
He is survived by one son, Earl Bybee, and wife Tressa, of Mud Lick, one daughter, Tishia Bartley, and husband Jeremy of Tompkinsville. Three grandchildren, Skylar Turner, Reuben Bybee, Korbin Bartley, one great-grandchild, Marlee Turner, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of forty-six years, Anna Lee (Webb) Bybee, and one sister, Shirley Piercy.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home, and again on Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
