Loyd Thomas “Tommy” Cowles, 77, of Chalybeate passed away Jan. 4, 2024 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a semi-retired truck driver. He was the son of the late Lawrence Cowles and Louise Cowles and the husband of the late Carolyn Christy Cowles.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Kinser Cemetery. Visitation will take place 3-7 PM Tuesday and after 9:00 AM Wednesday.
Surviving are three sons, Marty Cowles (Wanda) and Darrell Cowles both of Cave City and Timmy Cowles (Lisa) of Brownsville; a daughter, Tonya Hennion (Joel) of Poplar Springs; a sister Loretta Torrence of Bee Spring; four grandchildren, Kevin Cowles, Shaina Brooks (Kent), Jarad Cowles (Allison) and Allison Cowles; three great grandchildren, Veah Cowles, Damien Cowles and Owen Brooks; and several nieces and nephews.
