12-5-2013 – Barren County native. Blake Doyle joins Colorado Rockies as their hitting coach.

SCKCC Holiday Home Tour is slated for Sunday – Main Street Bed and Breakfast, William and Nedie Martin Home, Ernie and Bambie Myers Home, Tony and Becky Greer Home, Larry and Janet Carrico Home and Ken and Bonnie Johnson Home. (Unfortunately, the home tour was canceled due to inclement weather)

Cave City Hall of Fame Inductees were Hardin Young Davis, Sr. and Samuel Davis Caldwell, Sr.

1973 Hiseville High School Class holds their 40th Class reunion.

Melanie Watson was awarded the Conrad Fellow 4-H Adult Leadership Award at the annual 4-H banquet.

12-12-2013 – Leslie Garmon Sarasin is the keynote speak at WKU-Glasgow Graduand Ceremony.

R R Donnelly recognizes employees  for milestone years – Shorty Matney -40 years; Brian Shields, Pam Caudel, James Bastin, Marcus Pierce, Hershel Thomas and Nola Jones -35 years and Sanford Syra, Clyde Turner, Marchelle Edmunds and Theresa Bean – 25 years.

Music is Me Festival is happening this weekend at the Plaza.

Glasgow Christmas Parade winners – Eddie McDonald Award to Caveland Church, Jim Moody Award to Girl Scout Troop #2088 and Grand Marshall Award to Barren County Area Technology Center.

BC Trojanettes are 1-1 after season debut. The Trojans are undefeated. Lady Scotties open with a 68-38 victory over Somerset.

12-19-2013 – Bill Kindred is retiring as T J Samson Hospital Chief as of  1-1-2014.

Wesley Pedigo is named Cave City Citizen of the Year.

A new village Post office opens at Park City Auto Sales.

Horse Cave Theatre buildings are bough by Citizens First Bank.

Lady Scotties start the season 4-0 and Scottie Boys open the year at 1-0.

12-26-2013 – I-65 widening underway from Horse Cave to Munfordville.

Barren River is hosting Sandhill Crane Tours.

Dr. Kyle Kiser, Emergency Medical Physician at T J conducted a suture class with 1st and 2nd year BioMedical Students at GHS.

BCHS Orchestra and Choir performed at Green River Regional Education Cooperative and Rotary Club.

Members of St. Helen’s Catholic Church filled the Glasgow square with Christmas Carolers.
